Garden City Social Worker Appointed to National Social Work Education Council

Social worker Erin Nau, LCSW, has been appointed to the Council on the Role and Status of Women in Social Work Education, a committee of the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE). She will serve a three-year term helping to develop educational resources for social work faculty and students.

The Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) is the national association representing social work education in the United States. Its members include over 760 accredited baccalaureate and master’s degree social work programs, as well as individual social work educators, practitioners, and agencies dedicated to advancing quality social work education.

Ms. Nau is the education and counseling coordinator for the Adelphi NY Statewide Breast Cancer Hotline & Support Program. She is a doctoral candidate at Adelphi University’s School of Social Work. Her research focuses on adolescent girls’ self worth.

She resides in Astoria.
