LI2Day Check Presentation

The Adelphi NY Statewide Breast Cancer Hotline & Support Program recently received a check for $24,200 from LI2Day, a Long Island based organization that fund raises for local breast cancer organizations through walks and other events.

The beneficiary check represented Adelphi’s portion from the annual walk that was held last June. This was the 14th fundraising walk and to-date the Adelphi Program has received $412,450. Team members solicit sponsorships for their participation in LI2Day events. The Adelphi Breast Cancer Program is an official beneficiary for the 2018 event scheduled for Saturday, June 9, 2018.

“We are so proud of our team,” says Hillary Rutter, the director of the Adelphi Breast Cancer Program. “They are a dedicated group that supports us every year.”

LI2DAY was organized in 2004 to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer and other cancer research, to benefit cancer sufferers, survivors, and their families, and to support organizations that are participating in such efforts.

The Adelphi NY Statewide Breast Cancer Hotline & Support Program provides information and emotional support to New Yorks coping with breast cancer. The hotline number is 800-877-8077. You are not alone.
