Breast Cancer Patients: Staying Safe While You Consider Reconstruction Surgery

Monday, June 22, from 6-7 pm on Zoom

As medical offices are reopening, breast cancer patients have many concerns regarding their safety in entering the establishment. In a Zoom session on Monday, June 22, from 6 to 7 pm Barry K. Douglas, MD, FACS of Long Island Plastic Surgical Group, will discuss what doctors are doing to keep patients safe and what questions to ask:

  • What safety precautions are being taken with waiting rooms, office visits, and surgeries?
  • Are there options for telehealth consultations for new and existing patients?
  • What surgeries for breast reconstruction are currently taking place?

This event, which is sponsored by the Adelphi NY Statewide Breast Cancer Program, is free but registration online is required. No phone RSVPs at this time.

To register: https://breast-cancer.adelphi.edu/

Instructions on how to access the Zoom will be sent to registrants.

This forum is sponsored by the Junior Coalition of the Manhasset Women’s Coalition Against Breast Cancer.
