What is #GivingTuesday?
Today, November 30th is #GivingTuesday. This  is an opportunity for people around the world to come together to thank, help, give, show kindness, and share what they have with those in need.

MATCH #2

Recognizing the importance of Adelphi’s NY Statewide Breast Cancer Hotline and Support Program, Adelphi Board of Trustee member Ronald B. Lee, BA ’67 is challenging the Adelphi community to support the Breast Cancer Program on #GivingTuesday. In honor of Adelphi’s 125th Anniversary, he will be matching $1,250 in donations, dollar for dollar. Thanks to his generosity, your gift will go twice as far in the fight against breast cancer.

Help make a difference this #GivingTuesday

MATCH #1

This Giving Tuesday, your gift will have an even bigger impact on early detection and support services. A generous member of the Adelphi Breast Cancer Advisory Board, Neil Tanna, MD, MBA, is challenging the Adelphi community to support the Breast Cancer Program on #GivingTuesday. He will be matching the first $2,000 in donations, dollar for dollar. Thanks to his generosity, your gift will go twice as far in the fight against breast cancer.

GOAL: COMPLETED

This fall was a significant milestone as we entered a New Beginning. We welcomed three new Advisory Board members, and brought staff, volunteers and student interns back to our offices at the Adelphi NY Statewide Breast Cancer Hotline & Support Program. Further, we are thrilled to be on-site at Nassau University Medical Center and in the community — and we could not have done it without you.

Your contributions have provided hope for breast cancer patients as they navigate treatment in an environment that is constantly changing. The program is thankful for supporters like you, who enabled us to continue providing public health and licensed social work services to individuals concerned with or diagnosed with breast cancer. We appreciate your philanthropy and hope you will continue to donate to our program. #GivingTuesday is a global day of generosity that will take place on November 30, 2021.

Your support has helped brighten the journey for so many breast cancer patients. One of our bilingual support group members shared her powerful testimony, Ms. V said, “I was diagnosed with HER2 cancer; I did not know what to do or what would happen. Amid the anguish, pain, loneliness and confusion came an unexpected call from the Adelphi Breast Cancer Program. From that moment on, I have had emotional support, personal attention, accompaniment, and financial support. I have challenges ahead: To overcome cancer with the footprints left by domestic violence and mourning a broken marriage, but I am sure that with God’s hand I will emerge victorious, strong and ready to tell the world my new story. Thank you Adelphi Breast Cancer Program.”

GivingTuesday is an opportunity for people around the world to come together to thank, help, give, show kindness, and share what they have with those in need.
