Adelphi Alumna and Family Compete on ABC-TV’s New Show, “Family Food Fight”

On Thursday, June 20, ABC aired the first episode of Family Food Fight. According to ABC, the show “will feature family teams dishing out their best culinary skills. Tapping into each family’s uniquely diverse cultural heritage, Family Food Fight takes homestyle cooking to a new level as teams square off with their most prized family recipes.”

The eight family teams come from different backgrounds and ethnicities. One of the families competing for the $100,000 prize has Adelphi connections. Lorena Livanos ’84 is competing with her sons Johnny and Enrico. They were chosen over 100 East Coast applicants.

Livanos and husband Nickolas Livanos ’81
are co-owners of the Livanos Restaurant Group. The company operates six restaurants: Ouisa, Oceana, Molyvos and Oceana Poke in Manhattan; and Moderne Barn in Armonk, New York; and City Limits Diner in White Plains, New York.
