Who are the best employers in New York state? According to the first-ever Forbes America’s Best Employers By State rankings, Adelphi is one of them, ranking No. 71 out of 146 employers who made the list. Forbes partnered with market research company Statista to identify the organizations liked best by employees. The ranking was released on June 5.
“At Adelphi, we are striving to make the work experience one where all faculty and staff feel valued, can pursue their passion and are treated with respect,” said Cindy Donnelly, chief human resources officer.
The ranking is based on an independent survey in which workers are asked their willingness to recommend their employer to friends and family. Employees from coast to coast shared their experience on a number of work-related topics such as work conditions, development potential, company image and salary.
“Our human resources agenda includes fair market wages, ongoing assessment of the value of our benefits, and encouraging all faculty and staff to take advantage of the many development options we offer,” said Donnelly. “The culture we are shaping at Adelphi is one of engagement, open and honest dialogue, and innovative solutions to the toughest challenges.”
