Forum: 5 Essential Things to Know about Breast Reconstruction

On Friday, March 17, 2023, from 12:00–1:00 p.m. on zoom, Dr. David Parizh, DO, Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon, will present information on what a breast cancer patient should know when considering breast reconstruction. The free event is sponsored by the Adelphi NY Statewide Breast Cancer Hotline & Support Program.

Dr. Parizh is Board Certified Plastic Surgeon at New York Plastic Surgical Group, a Division of Long Island Plastic Surgical Group. He will address the following topics:

  • Reconstruction Options
  • No one procedure is right for all women
  • Insurance coverage for breast reconstruction
  • Involving a plastic surgeon from the beginning
  • Confidently choosing your plastic surgeon

Dr.Parizh has residency and fellowship training in fields of General Surgery, Plastic Surgery and Burn Surgery. His practice includes complex reconstructive procedures, including treatment of breast cancer. As Director of the Nassau University Burn Unit, he specializes in acute and chronic treatment of wounds. He offers a full range of reconstructive and cosmetic surgical procedures. His aesthetic practice includes elective treatment of breast and body, as well as facial rejuvenation. 

This zoom forum is sponsored by the Junior Coalition of the Manhasset Women’s Coalition Against Breast Cancer and Northwell Health Cancer Institute.
