Strategies for Coping with the Holidays

Coping with the Holidays, a free forum sponsored by the Adelphi NY Statewide Breast Cancer Hotline and Support Program, will be held on Thursday, November 9 from 12 noon to 1 pm on zoom. Oncology social worker Cara Livoti, LCSW, offers expertise in the ways individuals can utilize healthy coping strategies during the holiday season. Participants will also learn about the multitude of support services offered from both hospital and community based social workers.

Ms. Livoti has been a part of the NYU Langone care team since 2011 with extensive experience in supporting not only her patients, but their caregivers and loved ones. In 2021 she began working specifically with the breast cancer patient population at NYU Perlmutter Cancer Center. Ms. Livoti is well-versed in the resources available through NYU PCC and the community for her breast cancer patients and takes great pride in providing comprehensive psychosocial care to those with which she works.

This free event is sponsored by The Junior Coalition of the Manhasset Women’s Coalition Against Breast Cancer and Northwell Health Cancer Institute.
