With the Fall 2016 season in the books, Adelphi University and Stonehill College currently sit in a tie for first place in the Northeast-10 Conference Presidents’ Cup standings. Adelphi has won the cup, which is given for overall athletic excellence in the NE10, three times in the past four years. The conference will present the eventual winning institution with the Presidents’ Cup at the annual year-end banquet, which is held in June each year in conjunction with the league meetings.
Adelphi, NE10 Champions in men’s soccer and women’s tennis, captured a pair of NE10 regular season titles in soccer this fall, picking up 29 points from its men’s and women’s soccer teams alone. The Panthers also garnered 11 points apiece from their field hockey and volleyball teams while adding 27 more points in women’s tennis and cross country.
