I was fortunate to have worked as the public relations consultant to the Adelphi NY Statewide Breast Cancer Hotline and Support Program for 40 years, starting when the program began in 1980. When I look back at the attitudes toward breast cancer back then, I am proud to have been part of the movement to bring breast cancer out of the closet and to help give women a voice. We have been there for thousands of women, their families and the community.

Now that I am retired, I am pleased to serve on the board.
