Over the last three years, Adelphi has undergone a transformation—in the way the University presents itself in images and tone. Bringing the many departments into one unified style was the work of the Office of University Communications and Marketing.
Earlier this month, the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) recognized Adelphi University with a Circle of Excellence Award, Bronze, for internal communication. CASE is an international organization for higher education communication, marketing and advancement professionals.
As the judges said, “This story is unique because it involved the participation and acceptance of every unit and every department at the University—an institution that had never undergone a design effort of this magnitude. It was extremely comprehensive, well-presented and organized.”
The centerpiece of this initiative is the Style Guide and Brand Center, which helps everyone in the Adelphi community understand the importance for us to be on the same page in how we present ourselves in words and images.
As stated on the landing page, Adelphi now presents “a singular and well-defined image to our students, our campus, our alumni and donors, the media, and the outside world. It makes Adelphi instantly recognizable, and that in turn helps Adelphi become better known.”
