Panthers Pursue Perfection and an Eighth National Championship


The Adelphi University women’s lacrosse team chases the second NCAA Division II National Championship three-peat in program history on Saturday, May 20, 2016, in Denver. 

The Panther’s women’s lacrosse team advances to the finals of the NCAA Division II championships after defeating conference rival Le Moyne College, 13-4. The undefeated Panthers will face Florida Southern College at 4:00 p.m. EDT as the team chases a third straight title and the program’s eighth NCAA Division II National Championship.

The Adelphi softball program also made its mark this week with a second straight NCAA Division II Women’s College World Series run. The team had an inspiring season that came to a close when it lost a 1-0 heartbreaker on May 19, 2016, to Armstrong State University.
