Feel Empowered and Increase Your Self-Esteem through Art
A Free Online Art Therapy Series for Breast Cancer Patients and Caregiver

The Adelphi Breast Cancer Program is offering a free (4) week workshop that will review exercises designed to enhance feelings of worthiness and emotional strength. The Feel Empowered and Increase Your Self-Esteem Workshop will be held on Wednesday’s from 10:00 am – 11:30 am.

This 4-week series will be held online on July 15, July 22, July 29 and August 5, 2020.
 
“Self-esteem and self-acceptance are the building blocks of wellness,” says social work facilitator Angela M. Papalia. “Participants can discover how art can help boost their self-esteem and ability to cope with the many challenges of life.” 
 
This online workshop will accommodate only 15 members. You must register to attend the workshops and all members must commit to attending the entire 4-week session.

WORKSHOP REQUIREMENTS
All participants will need:

  • colored pencils, markers or crayons;
  • quality paper for drawing;
  • scissors, magazines and glue; 
  • paper plate, oak tag, and decorating items such as glitter, pom poms, stickers, etc. and; 
  • computer access with a camera, microphone, printer and internet. The workshop will be held through Zoom.
This workshop will be facilitated by Angela M. Papalia, LMSW, Assistant Director, and Kimberly Newman, BFA, Communications and Marketing Coordinator, both of the Adelphi Breast Cancer Program.
