Join the Adelphi Breast Cancer Program’s Warriors Book Club on Monday, November 18
On Monday, November 18, from 7 pm – 8 pm, join the Adelphi Breast Cancer Program’s Warriors Book Club on Zoom for a lively and uplifting discussion of Colm Tóibín’s New York Times bestselling novel, “Brooklyn.”
The Warriors Book Club is a free support service dedicated to survivors of breast cancer and provides an opportunity to connect with others and share an uplifting book together.
“Brooklyn” is the story of a young Irish immigrant in the early 1950s who leaves behind her family and country for a better life in America. Tóibín’s book takes hold of the reader, giving them a place among its characters. The film adaptation of Tóibín’s novel was nominated for four Academy Awards including Best Picture.
