Discover the Power of Storytelling at the Warriors Book Club on May 19

On Monday, May 19 at 7 PM, the Warriors Book Club, a free virtual gathering presented by the Adelphi NY Statewide Breast Cancer Hotline & Support Program, invites individuals impacted by breast cancer to join a meaningful discussion of The Champagne Letters by Kate Macintosh.

Open to patients, survivors, caregivers, and supporters, the one-hour session offers a welcoming space to connect with others across Long Island and New York State who have been touched by breast cancer. Together, participants will explore a powerful and inspiring novel set in France that weaves themes of grief, joy, and personal transformation through a dual timeline narrative. The Champagne Letters is a heartfelt read for fans of historical fiction and those seeking connection through shared stories and lived experiences.

Participants consistently highlight the value of the connections they’ve made through the club. The discussions offer not only literary enrichment but emotional support and a sense of shared experience.

“The Warriors Book Club has become a meaningful space for connection, healing, and reflection,” said Nina Foley, LCSW, Adelphi’s Volunteer and Hotline Supervisor. “We often hear from participants how much they value sharing their experiences with others who understand what they’ve been through,” she said.
