The Adelphi NY Statewide Breast Cancer Hotline & Support Program in collaboration with Northwell Health Cancer Institute and Friedman Center for Breast and Lymphatic Surgery hosted an educational forum on Patient Navigation and Support During a Breast Cancer Diagnosis. Hear from our expert panel about how your breast surgeon, patient navigators, and social workers can help support you throughout a breast cancer diagnosis. Learn critical information about empowering yourself and loved ones.

Our forums are one way our program honors our mission to educate and support breast cancer patients and the community. THE BENEFITS OF INTEGRATIVE MEDICINE: The use of Acupuncture, Acupressure and Physical Therapy to help ease symptoms of Breast Cancer.

Yingrong Zhu, MD, Oncologic Rehabilitation at NYU Langone Health, Rusk Rehabilitation discussed how acupuncture and acupressure can help relieve some of the symptoms of cancer and side effects of cancer treatment.  Soyeon Jo, PT, DPT, OnCs, CLT, WCC licensed physical therapist at Northwell Health STARS Rehabilitation discussed how physical therapy can help breast cancer patients with Lymphedema as well as other symptoms.

RETURNING TO CANCER SCREENINGS
