Become a Hotline or Program Volunteer

Our dedicated volunteers are at the center of everything we do.

Women and men who are breast cancer survivors, family members and friends of survivors who are concerned about breast health issues can become volunteers.

Trained volunteers can answer calls to our breast cancer hotline and provide support, resources and advice. They can also attend community outreaches and speak at health fairs, libraries, and special events. In addition, volunteers can participate in media opportunities, fundraising events, and office work.

Volunteers at the Adelphi NY Statewide Breast Cancer Hotline & Support Program give back through:

  • Community outreach
  • Educational presentations
  • Hotline
  • Speaking engagements
  • Publicity
  • Fundraising

Volunteer Trainings

Our volunteer trainings are typically offered online and are open to breast cancer survivors throughout New York State. We ask that you please commit to all 4 sessions. Our process involves having an initial interview after you confirm that you are interested and available, followed by the training sessions, and finally an exit interview to decide if the program is a good fit for you and you are a good fit for the program.
