SUPPORT GROUPS
Breast cancer can cause many feelings to emerge, such as shock, confusion, fear, sadness, anger and uncertainty. Our support groups provide the opportunity for participants to share their feelings and experiences with the guidance of social workers and social work interns.
 
Fall 2014 Support Group Schedule

We are in the process of forming support groups for Fall/Winter.
Please check our support group page for the dates/times and additional information.

The topics for these support groups are:
1. Family Support Group
2. Writing and Journaling Group for Survivors
3. Self Image and Sexuality Support Group

To participate in any of our support groups:
  • Pre-registration is required.
  • These groups and others are offered upon request.
  • Additional groups can also be offered off-site, in the community.

CREATIVE CUPS 2015
Build the perfect bra. Creative Cups™  is Back!   
Creative Cups is a thought-provoking art exhibition and fundraising event to benefit the Adelphi NY Statewide Breast Cancer Hotline & Support Program. This life-affirming celebration features bras that are transformed by their creators into works of art. We invite individuals of all ages and levels of artistic talent to Build the Perfect Bra.

BRIGHTON COLLECTIBLES BREAST CANCER AWARENESS

 

Brighton Collectibles located in the Walt Whitman Mall in Huntington, NY will be launching their 2014 Breast Cancer Bracelet. They will be donating $10.00 from every $50.00 bracelet sold to the Adelphi NY Statewide Breast Cancer Hotline & Support Program.

 
When:      Brighton will be launching the 2014 bracelet September 26 – 28th. The sale of the bracelets will continue through the month of October.

THE FOURTH ANNUAL BREAST CANCER SUMMIT

The event will focus on the patient education process and the latest developments in detection, treatment and instruction. The fourth annual breast cancer summit will have Keynote Speaker Fran Drescher. Breakfast and admission are complimentary but seating is limited.

6th ANNUAL BREAST CANCER BENEFIT RIDE/HIKE

The New York Natural Equestrians are pleased to announce their 6th Annual Breast Cancer Ride/Hike. Participating is easy! Simply contact Lisa Wolf to register and receive your sponsorship sheet and trial map. You can ride OR hike the beautiful trails.

Minimum donation is $35, or better yet, encourage friends and family to “sponsor” your ride or hike with individual contributions.

100% of the proceeds from the event benefit the Adelphi NY Statewide Breast Cancer Hotline & Support Program.

Long Island restaurants, bakeries and food purveyors are helping the Adelphi NY Statewide Breast Cancer Hotline & Support Program throughout October’s Breast Cancer Awareness month.
